Many of our producers actively take steps to be more sustainable - and it is now well understood that buying locally grown and crafted products is a little better for the environment.

Moana Park Estate have had their wines certified by the New Zealand Vegan Society. Often during wine making, animal proteins such as egg whites, fish or milk can be included. Moana Park use pea protein as its fining agent to clarify and stabilise the wine. Operating as a socially responsible and sustainable business is also core to their values.
Hemp Connect make a range of protein powders, flour, oil and capsules that are a good source of protein, organic, low in sugar and free of pesticides and additives. They have a variety of flavours for you to select.
TOP Hemp produces a variety of patas (alternative to butter), protein powders, oil and hearts. Their Hemp Protein Powder is plant based, gluten free, vegan, keto, preservative free and cholesterol free. It's designed to boost the immune system, promote improved health gut and energy.
Based in Christchurch, Plant Basics was formed to help others interested in a plant-based lifestyle. They craft chia pudding mixes, vege protein, scramble mix and no chicken noodle soup mix.
The Alternative Bread Company are a family run business with three generations of coeliacs. Their combination box is a great way to have spicy fruit and wholesome loaf gluten free breadmixes on hand. They are also dairy, nut, soy and egg free, and you can make them vegan by using date syrup as your yeast extract.
Hunter Gatherer make vanilla velvety baking mix that is gluten, grain and dairy free that is also paleo and vegan friendly. Their baking mix can be used to make cakes, cookies, muffins and slices. Plus they are free from preservatives and refined sugars.

Pete's Natural Limited has developed sodas using fruit supplied by local growers with no additives, concentrates, preservatives or artificial flavours in their solar powered factory. Many of their sodas incorporate hops full of antioxidants and are lightly fermented meaning they contain less sugar too. Fair trade is important to them, their products are wrapped in NZ made recylcled glass. They also make a great base to cocktails and mocktails.
The Kvas Company is New Zealand's first kvas brewery. Kvas is a traditional East European drink brewed from rye and flavoured with coriander seed and sultanas using a lactic fermentation process. They use organic Canterbury rye, only natural flavour ingredients, organic and local where possible.
The Better Tea Co. was founded to help people take care of their mental health and wellbeing. All of their teas are designed to assist you through specific situations including anxiety and panic attacks. They are also very environmentally conscious and buy from Kiwi companies when sourcing their packaging and ingredients.
A lot of our producers value fair trade. Some of these producers include Lone Bee who handcrafts NZ's leading sparkling honey mead, gluten free with no additives, preservatives or flavouring and Le Coffee. This is a full bodied, medium-to-dark roasted blend of three fair trade organic beans from Mexico, Papua New Guinea and Colombia. With a delicious combination of earthy flavours with a hint of fruity sweetness, it is ideal for espresso and milk-based drinks.
