Terms & conditions
The Food Store is an online retail store as well as a distributor of various consumable products. We abide by the Consumer Guarantees Act and your purchase is coverable by New Zealand Law. By placing an order, you confirm you have accepted our Terms and Conditions and confirm that you have permission to place an order and use the payment method used.
If you are acquiring goods for the purposes of a trade or business, you acknowledge that the provisions of the Consumer Guarantees Act do not apply to the supply of goods by The Food Store to you the client.
Refund, exchange, cancellation policy
We cannot accept returns due to you simply changing your mind or not needing the products anymore. We will, under our obligations by law, offer a refund or replacement should an item arrive damaged or not food safe. Should you receive damaged items, please contact us immediately with photographic proof of the damage.
To assist us with claiming from our courier company, we may ask you to keep the damaged items and original packaging for it to be collected from you.
If possible, we will send an immediate replacement or issue a refund. If there is any concern or need to check the items we will arrange for you to return them to us or for us to collect them. Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.
If you are approved, then your refund or replacement will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card used during your original purchase.
We are not able to offer any refunds to alternative credit cards or by bank transfer, only to the original card used during the purchase. We are not able to refund food items, however if an item arrives damaged or not food safe, we will of course replace the item.
