One 500g bag of Wholesome Mix will make 1 large loaf or 12 good-sized buns. You’ll be surprised at how easy this is to whip up a batch of fresh, soft gluten free bread. Mix. Bake. We offer shipping and delivery on all of our products! We ship to anywhere in New Zealand including to rural addresses, our despatch days are Monday, Wednesday and Thursday of each week. Shipping is normally 2- 3 days depending on courier demand. You need to add a couple of extra days for rural delivery.

At Alternative Bread Company, our mission is to ensure that everyone can enjoy a freshly baked loaf of gluten free bread, no matter your skill level in the kitchen. I was raised on a sheep and cropping farm, my sister is allergic to wool and I have coeliac disease. We weren’t exactly the best ambassadors for a fifth-generation New Zealand farming family. Our family has always been the backbone of what we do so when we became three generations living with coeliacs we decided it was time for change. It was time for gluten free bread to be eaten as a sandwich and be fit for any smoko basket in the sheep yards. We’re on this mission together to make eating normal.
